Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Recovery Program - The Path to Well -Being

The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Recovery Program (CFSRP) uses physical reconditioning and emotional support to rehabilitate participants and relieve the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

The main physical symptoms associated with CFS are: severe fatigue, extreme lethargy, frequent headaches, muscle/joint pain, sleep pattern disturbance and decreased cognitive skills (memory/concentration).

The severity and long term duration of these symptoms often leads to social isolation and depression. CFS has no single cause and as such has no known ‘cure’. What is known is that the major physical and emotional effects can be treated.

The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Recovery Program (CFSRP) is achieving the positive outcomes using a highly structured, four-week live-in program with a twenty-four hour routine which includes:

. Daily Hydrotherapy
. Daily Exercise
. Psychological Counselling
. Meditation and Relaxation
. Yoga
. Tai Chi
. Regular assessment by staff
. 24 hour support by a Registered Nurse

The program is being conducted in a caring and nurturing environment in 41/2 star accommodation in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs. Support will continue after the program in order to maintain and build on the recovery process.

Our team consists of:

. Registered Nurse
. Medical Practitioner (available for Consultations when required)
. Psychologist
. Exercise Specialists
. Relaxation and Meditation Therapist
. Tai Chi Coach
. Yoga Instructor

A referral from your Medical Practitioner is required to enter the CFS Recovery Program. The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Recovery Program (CFSRP) has new groups commencing every four weeks.
